Dr Gunnar Weikert is founder and CEO of inventages venture capital Inc., a leading venture capital fund specialising in life sciences.

Dr Weikert worked for more than 10 years in a broad spectrum of functions within the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. He oversaw venture investments in technology companies that produced more than US$1.1 billion in profits and increased R&D productivity by a factor of six. He also crystallised and oversaw major collaborations representing some of the biggest deals between big-pharma and biotechnology in the late 90s.

Dr Weikert has a PhD in medical sciences from University of Düsseldorf, and an MBA.
